Jonathan started his music career playing with his dad, brother, and uncle in the Brandon Deavors Band.
In college, he played with country bands such as Silverado, Wild Canyon, and the Johnny Banks Band.
His love for R&B and Beach music never fell away, so Jonathan joined Coast To Coast, played with the famous beach band Atlantic Groove, and formed The Swashtones in 2012. He rebranded them as The Tonez in 2017.
A member of a musical family, Bradley began playing drums at the early age of 7 and picked up the guitar at age 13 - discovering a love for bluegrass - finally progressing to learning the banjo in his 30's.
Bradley has opened for several national acts such as Marshall Tucker Band, Starship, Confederate Railroad, Chubby Checker and many more.
He and Jonathan have been playing music together since 2012. Bradley appreciates his wife, Wanda, for supporting him throughout all his musical endeavors.
Eric started out playing drums with his parents. His father played guitar while his mother played bass. At age 30 he taught himself to play the piano.
After a motocross accident resulted in injuries to his hands, Eric used music as a form of therapy and fully recovered while building his skill on the keyboards and guitar.
After playing country and southern rock music with Silverado, Wild Canyon, and his own group Restless, Eric found himself ready for a change. His creativity on the keys and acoustic guitar, along with superb vocals is an integral part of The Tonez.
Micah’s love for music began as a young child and he taught himself to play the bass before high school.
His musical endeavors include playing country music with Iron Station, Clear Creek, Wild Canyon, Johnny Banks Band, Laura Pettler Music, Still Creek, and Bandanna, and rock music with Flashpoint, Crimson Suite and Exit 7.
His all-around versatility with vocals and bass has allowed him to do extensive fill-in gigs with bands such as The Loafers, Lonesome Highway, and impersonator acts such as Carl Rosen (Elton John), Todd Sullivan (Tim McGraw) and Steve Fairchild (Garth Brooks).
According to her family and friends, Laura was singing as soon as she learned to talk. An avid pageant competitor, Laura used the Miss America system to help fund her collegiate education, making it to the stage of the Miss Virginia Pageant 3 times.
Laura has toured the East Coast with various groups, singing for thousands of people in Baltimore, Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia. She eventually moved back to North Carolina and fronted the 18-piece Salisbury Swing Band as both vocalist and emcee from 2013-2019
Growing up in Florida, Johammee (pronounced Wa-HA-mee) moved to Charlotte, NC in 2016 and joined the Tonez in 2018. Johammee's wife is an opera singer and Johammee is known to belt out a few vocals as well.
Jason played with every band on campus at UNC-Chapel Hill while getting his degree in the 90's. After moving to Charlotte in 2003, he picked up his horns and reconnected with the beach music scene and helped form the famous Lakeside Drive Band horn section in 2011 and joined the Tonez in 2017.

Ken has been a freelance trombonist in the Charlotte area for twenty-seven years, playing with groups such as the Classic Touch Orchestra, Swing Thing, Vintage Big Band, and Brass Act.
A five year member of the famous Lakeside Drive Band horn section, known as the "Best horns in beach music", Ken joined The Tonez in 2017 along with Michael Murphy and Jason Barker.
Ken recently retired as the Band Director at Mooresville High School, and also leads the Davidson College Pep Band. An amazing arranger, Ken is responsible for most of the crazy things the horns play.
